Using Archive Materials

The Archive Collections, consisting of well over 2000 images, have been widely used as a resource for scholars, publications, and museum exhibition didactic and catalogs.

All content on the Website (including but not limited to text, images, photographs, illustrations, multimedia (graphic, audio and video), charts, reports, data, software HTML code and screens contained therein) is owned by or licensed to Anahita Gallery, Inc. and is subject to protection by U.S. and international copyright and trademark laws. All copyright in original photographs from the Soviet Collection and the Contemporary Uzbek Collection is held by the author of the photograph or by his/her estate.
Except as expressly provided in the Terms and Conditions of Use (see link on left) or as otherwise authorized in advance in writing by Anahita Gallery, Inc, you may not download, copy, store, manipulate, reformat, print, display, publish, distribute, create a derivative work from, resell or make any other use of, any information contained on the Website. The source of the images should also be cited in any reproduction.


The original 19th century photographs in the 19th Century Collection are not available for individual sale, although we welcome inquiries about the purchase of full collections within the the Archive.
Soviet period and contemporary photographs are available for individual sale.
